There are many more good carry guns, but because
of their weight and single action ( cocking the hammer for the
first shot or carrying cocked & locked) most people unless you are a
big man or women find it hard to carry these on a day-to-day basis. If
you are one of these people that like a larger gun stick to
name brands like Glock, Colt, Springfield , Kimber and Para
you can't go wrong.
In July 1995,
the North Carolina General Assembly enacted a Concealed Carry Handgun
Law that allows qualifying citizens of North Carolina the
opportunity to obtain a permit to carry a concealed handgun. Under
the law, the individual MUST complete a required
training program. The program must be a minimum of 8 hours and include a
live firing qualification.
